It is our policy not to sell or market our clients’ nonpublic personal information to third parties without their consent. Client information is used solely in the conduct of our business and to provide excellent service to our clients. National Foundation for Debt Management safeguards every piece of information that clients disclose to us, whether that be gathered during their initial enrollment process, via telephone communication, or through written correspondence. We are committed to maintaining strict ethical, legal, and moral standards when representing the interests of our clients and when handling their personal and confidential information. All financial data provided by our clients, including, but not necessarily limited to budgetary information, account numbers and balances, etc may be provided to creditors on an as needed basis to properly facilitate a client’s debt management program, but only after obtaining written consent to do so, as documented in the Disclosure and Authorization forms completed by all new clients. We will never distribute a client’s personal information to another company, agency, or organization without first obtaining a client’s written consent for that distribution. NFDM considers the protection of our clients’ personal information to be priority. With this in consideration, access to our server is extremely limited. It is further secured with encryption and firewall protection. We may analyze aggregate case file information in an effort to improve the services we are currently able to offer clients as well as to study the utility of services we envision providing in the future. All personal financial information used for these purposes will be reviewed as anonymous case files, recognized by file number only. NFDM may, however, release a client’s personal information under the following circumstances:
> Where withholding information is deemed to be in violation of state and/or federal law.
> When a Subpoena is issued by a government agency for a client’s personal information.
In the rare instance where NFDM or an agent of NFDM is in receipt of a communication either verbal or written suggesting possible harm to others, National Foundation for Debt Management reserves the right to edit or make amendments to this privacy policy at any time and at its discretion. Any and all changes to NFDM’s privacy policy will be communicated in writing to all applicable parties at least five days prior to the implementation of said change(s).
