Student Programs

It is often easier to form a good habit than it is to break a bad one. National Foundation for Debt Management works to introduce sound financial literacy skills into our schools in a way that is both entertaining and educational.

By partnering with NFDM, Pinellas county, Florida teachers and their schools help students gain working knowledge of personal finances. Basic exercises and examples that examine the effects of good and bad spending choices, smart saving habits, and the cautious use of credit help students build the confidence to manage money wisely, as they prepare for a successful future.

NFDM curriculum may be customized to deliver personal finance education to schools throughout the United States. In addition, NFDM makes available online the FDIC Money Smart for Young Adults financial education program. Teachers and students may access this program through the above link for 'anytime' study and reference.

If you are an education professional interested in receiving further information on NFDM personal finance programs for youth, or learning how NFDM may be able to assist the efforts or curriculum needs of your organization, contact an education coordinator at (800) 344 - 5153.
